I Am Bear is a hip hop song performed by Gummibär initially released in an animated music video form on the YouTube platform by The Official Gummibär Channel on April 26, 2019. On April 27, 2019, the song was released as a single for digital streaming platforms, and was subsequently uploaded by GummyRadio on the same date. Eventually, the song was featured being as the first track that plays in The Gummy Bear Album, which released on November 13, 2019.
The song was written by Christian Schneider and Maci Schneider, the latter also being responsible for producing the music and performing the song as the vocalist.
Prior to its official release date, it was originally featured in a journal music video produced by Infinity Dance Studio Hungary that was uploaded on YouTube in 2018, featuring the Gummibär character composited into a live-action background of a dance school with a group of teenage girls dancing to the song.
This version of I Am Bear can be only heard in the albums where the song has been featured, specifically in the I Am Bear single and The Gummy Bear Album. It is distinguishable for having the lyrics slightly more extended near the end of the song.

An additional outfit for Gummibär internally referred to as "MJ" or "Hat" according to the official files for the music video was originally going to be used for the video. This outfit would be loosely based off Mickael Jackson's appearance in the music video for Smooth Criminal, judging by the close similarities between the outfit and the abbreviation of the singer's name by the names in some files. Although the full outfit ended up never being used for the final music video, high-resoution poses and animations were rendered prior to it being completely discarded and a variant of the outfit with a brown band on the hat and no shirt or gloves were still re-used in two scenes of the final music video.[2]
In the original live-action music video produced prior to the animated video being released, the materials on Gummibär's 3D model are quite different from its final version in the animated one, looking much more reminiscent of the materials that were typically used in the music videos released in 2018.
Callbacks[]
The lyrics "I'm a gummy bear, I'm your gummy bear" could be interpreted as a reference to the song I Am A Gummy Bear.
The scene where Gummibär starts shaking his rear-end for a few brief seconds re-uses the exact same animation as seen in the HD remake of I Am A Gummy Bear's music video.
