Gummibär (also known as The Gummibär Game) was a classic jump and run action game app that serves as a revamped port of "Gummibär: Mobile Game" for iOS devices. It was exclusively released on January 28, 2009[1] on the App Store platform, developed with the help of Game-Ever and published by Gummybear International. The app is currently unavailable for purchase and can no longer be played.
The plot of the game focuses on Gummibär and his group of friends assisting to a dance competition. On their way to the concert, a sudden storm force them to make an emergency landing on an unknown island. They eventually discover a tribe of fierce savage gummy bears who possess special instruments and dance moves that would help Gummy to win the dance competition. However, the chief of the tribe will only give him the special instruments and dances in exchange for magical fruits that are hidden on the nearby islands.
In the game, there are different mini-games with a variety of subjects, from platform levels, to rhythm puzzles, nautical levels, and flying. There are 3 difficulty modes, 24 challenging levels, 8 music tracks throughout, and 2 different play modes, which are story mode and arcade mode.
Trivia[]
- The background music used in the platformer levels is an alternate mix of the song "Süß und heiß" from The Christian Philipp Schneider Project, which was written and produced by Christian Schneider, the person behind the creation of Gummibär.
