Trivia[]
- The music video appears to take place in the same house seen in The Yummy Gummy Search for Santa.
- The melody of the song is similar to a Hungarian folk song titled "Az a szép, akinek a szeme kék", composed by Sally Géza.
- On September 23, 2023, the original animatic was officially released to the public, there are many differences between the final version:
- The order of some scenes are different, there are even scenes not present in the animatic and/or final video.
- At the start, Gummibär is initially wearing a robe. He takes it off after he pours shampoo into the bathtub.
- Gummibär also wears pink slippers instead of white flip-flops in the final video.
- There is a removed scene where Gummibär grabs a life preserver.
- In the scene where he makes hairstyles out of shampoo bubbles, the last hairstyle is styled as dreadlocks, instead of one resembling Albert Einstein's hair and mustache.
- A contest was run during August 2012 named "Bubble Up Remix Contest", which consisted in composing a remixed version of the song, only three contestants would be chosen for the final prizes.
- In 2013, a mobile game based on the music video was developed by Game-Ever (the same studio behind the animation for the music video) and launched on iOS titled "Gummibär Bubble Up Game". It would also be re-released on Android platforms much later in 2015.
- An alternate version of the music video features an extended scene where Gummibär is itching his back with a brush. It is used as one of the extras on The Yummy Gummy Search for Santa.
- On the Radio Edit version of the song, the main vocals are deeper than they are in the official music video.
- The Radio Edit version of the Greek language is currently lost, this is evidenced by the abrupt cut in the music video and the length of it on the album, Dance With Me.
- In fact, it is presumed all of the Radio Edit versions of mostly every language this song was dubbed in (with the exception of Bańkę Łap, the Polish dub) are currently lost and/or unreleased and will probably never see releases nor be found.
